Christopher L. Nichols

Christopher L. Nichols (“Chris”) is the principal and founding attorney of The Nichols Firm, PLLC. Opened in February 2016, the Firm represents the continuation of Chris’ legal practice focusing on municipal and administrative law, economic development, property and homeowner associations, real estate development and land use, and general counsel and litigation services. Prior to opening the Firm, Chris practiced almost nine years with Randle Law Office Ltd., L.L.P. and about five years with a Houston boutique product liability firm. Chris is a native Texas born in Texarkana and raised in the piney woods of northeast Texas. Chris graduated from Hughes Springs High School in May 1992, Baylor University in May 1996, and Texas Tech University School of Law in December 2001. After passing the Texas Bar in May 2002, Chris began his legal career in Houston, Texas. Chris, his spouse and their two dogs - Cash and Ellie - live in Houston’s Museum District.

Joshua Brockman-Weber

Josh Brockman-Weber is an outside-the-box problem solver who helps private and government clients achieve desired outcomes through agreements or litigation, if necessary. For private clients, Josh counsels and litigates on various real estate matters including: defective construction and payment issues; commercial lease disputes; real estate purchase disputes;  real estate fraud; operations of property owner’s associations. Josh also counsels and litigates on business matters such as breach of contract, business torts, business purchase and asset transfers, trade secrets and non-compete covenants.

Josh advises governmental clients on all aspects of city attorney work including: city ordinances; contract review and inter-local agreements; personnel matters; economic development incentives and agreements; and public utilities work.

Before joining the Nichols Firm, Josh served as an Administrative Law Judge and Associate Judge for the City of Houston where he adjudicated various cases involving housing, building, transportation, and criminal codes.  Josh is also a former partner at litigation firm Littlepage Booth where he handled motion practice and appellate matters for the firm involving complex healthcare litigation.

Josh is a sixth-generation native Texan born in Fort Worth, Texas. He lives with his family in the Austin area.

Carrie Schwartz-Hill

Carrie Schwartz-Hill is the Senior Paralegal for The Nichols Firm, PLLC. Carrie has nearly ten years of experience as a Paralegal in various areas of law including immigration, municipal law, and litigation. Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston, and in 2007, Carrie earned a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Houston’s Paralegal Program.

In November 2011, Carrie joined the Randle Law Office as a Paralegal where she worked closely with Chris Nichols (who would later go on to found The Nichols Firm) on matters relating to both municipal law and litigation.

In May 2016, following the departure of Chris Nichols from the Randle Law Office and the founding of The Nichols Firm in February of 2016, Carrie joined The Nichols Firm.

Carrie is an enthusiastic urban gardener and chandler in her spare time.
