Christopher L. Nichols, Principal
Christopher L. Nichols (“Chris”) is the principal and founding attorney of The Nichols Firm, PLLC. Opened in February 2016, the Firm represents the continuation of Chris’ legal practice focusing on municipal and administrative law, economic development, property and homeowner associations, real estate development and land use, and general counsel and litigation services. Prior to opening the Firm, Chris practiced almost nine years with Randle Law Office Ltd., L.L.P. and about five years with a Houston boutique product liability firm.
Chris is a native Texas born in Texarkana and raised in the piney woods of northeast Texas. Chris graduated from Hughes Springs High School in May 1992, Baylor University in May 1996, and Texas Tech University School of Law in December 2001. After passing the Texas Bar in May 2002, Chris began his legal career in Houston, Texas. Chris, his spouse and their two dogs - Cash and Ellie - live in Houston’s Museum District.

Joshua Brockman-Weber, Counsel
Josh Brockman-Weber is a former litigation partner responsible for motions and appellate practice at Littlepage Booth – a national litigation boutique focusing on complex healthcare issues. After leaving Littlepage Booth, Josh worked at Paxson and Associates, P.C. and Brockman Brauchle, PLLC where he advised clients on a variety of contract, healthcare, and compliance matters.
Josh has also litigated various commercial disputes including
- Employment issues
- Partnership and business disputes
- Subrogation issues
- Real estate fraud and residential construction disputes involving builders, subcontractors, vendors, and homeowners
Josh also served as an Administrative Law Judge and Associate Judge for the City of Houston for two years where he adjudicated various cases involving housing, building, transportation, and criminal codes.

Carrie Schwartz-Hill, Senior Paralegal
Carrie Schwartz-Hill is the Senior Paralegal for The Nichols Firm, PLLC. Carrie has nearly ten years of experience as a Paralegal in various areas of law including immigration, municipal law, and litigation. Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston, and in 2007, Carrie earned a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Houston’s Paralegal Program.
In November 2011, Carrie joined the Randle Law Office as a Paralegal where she worked closely with Chris Nichols (who would later go on to found The Nichols Firm) on matters relating to both municipal law and litigation.
In May 2016, following the departure of Chris Nichols from the Randle Law Office and the founding of The Nichols Firm in February of 2016, Carrie joined The Nichols Firm.
Carrie is an enthusiastic urban gardener and chandler in her spare time.
